Google now lets Brits send money over Gmail

Instead of smartphone apps and traditional bank transfers, Google is hoping that its Gmail and Google Wallet integration can strike a chord with people wanting to send money in the UK. The feature has been available in the US for ages, but finally it is headed for British shores too.

Operating a Fake Bank

A fake bank in China that looked exactly like a real bank managed to scam people of almost 200 million yuan (HK$253 million) worth of deposits in just a year

 

The “bank”, in Nanjing’s Pukou district in Jiangsu province, promised customers 2 per cent interest a week for their deposits. Almost 200 people were conned.

Hackers deface Malaysia Airlines website, upload rap song

The Malaysia Airlines website has been commandeered by hackers who referenced Islamic State and claimed to be from the "Lizard Squad", a group known for previous denial-of-service attacks. The website’s front page, malaysiaairlines.com, was replaced with an image of a tuxedo-wearing lizard, and read "Hacked by LIZARD SQUAD – OFFICIAL CYBER CALIPHATE".

Poland-based Przemysław Strzelczyk and a team of software developers working on a new concept have created what they believe is the future of desktop computing — a mouse that’s also a PC.
