For those folks who like quick access to their to-dos, the home screen widget has been updated to support all of those themes and colors, and has a transparency slider so you can display it in context on your desktop if you prefer. Similarly, the app still supports some of the features that made Astrid so good back in the day, including location-based reminders, smart recurring tasks, and a good-looking, clean layout.

Beyond that, the app is still completely free, and while the dev tells me that he’s working on his own webapp and to-do syncing framework, I’m pretty happy with the app’s current ability to sync with Google Tasks, which is a pretty nice stopgap. The app is, as always, free, and at the link below.

Tasks: Astrid To-Do List Clone (Free) | Google Play

Thanks to Alex for sending in the update!

via https://ift.tt/2b2xwPI

Android: It’s been a while since we checked in on Tasks, an open source clone of the gone-but-not-forgotten Astrid to do app. Tasks has come a long way, too, and is even more powerful than ever—and still free for everyone to download and use.
