The Milk Man of India<\/em>, Dr Verghese Kurien<\/em>, started the White Revolution<\/em> in the country in the 1950s. Dr Kurian passed away on September 9th. Amul<\/em> was originally an acronym for Anand Milk Union Limited<\/em>, which finds its roots in the tiny village of Anand in Gujarat.<\/p>\n
